I just came up with a way of looking at the world today which is slightly different from or elaborated on from my previous views.. namely, that the universe and its "laws"/behavior are entirely psychological in nature (I'm an idealist/panpsychist/pantheist - https://philosophy.inhahe.com/2020/02/07/why-im-an-idealist/), and the material and the laws that appear to be more mechanical (like those of physics) just represent more *constricted* aspects of this psychology/cosmic mind. (It all exists on a gradient of constrictedness, or maybe it's actually punctuated/dualistic for some reason.) Maybe the more constricted patterns come from (a) less aware, more limited entities/entity, maybe even smaller entities and what we experience as the mechanicals is their aggregate behavior--the predictability aspect of it is related to the averaging-out effect of statistics. (That last part is an old thought of mine, the new part is that everything exists on a gradient of psychological constrictedness.)
